Frank Ocean: Gay Musicians in Black Society

Openly Gay musicians are more accepted in white society "Elton john, Clay Aiken, Adam Lambert" but not in ours. Ours as in black society. Have you noticed its more speculated gay black artists accepted than out gay artists? We would rather assume an artist is gay & continue to enjoy they music "Luther, Miguel, Ne-Yo, Trey" than he be out the closet writing the same music. I commend Frank for putting that story out last night because we as blacks need this, I'm sorry but its true. Yes he's claiming Bi-sexuality *and I agree I don't believe men can be Bi* but so the fuck what. I'm not gonna sit and assume every song he wrote was a secret message to that one guy he fell in love with and start to hate it that's just fuckin stupid. When you listen to majority of his material its all neutral, written for the listener to think on who they want it to be bout, man or woman. You know how many other gay BLACK musicians thats hiding who they are because how our society thinks of gay culture? MANY! Some of our favorite rappers are on the DL and we would feel so fuckin stupid and confused if they came out but they won't out of fear. Frank being out is simply a great thing and I know his music will still be as good as it was before and the songs released in the past will still be enjoyed as they have. You gotta be a damn fool to start thinking now that he's out that all his material was bout men. Why would you first think when listening to his music that its sung to a man unless you hiding inner demons of your own. Ima sit back enjoy just like white society does their artists if a lyric need be changing then it'll change we sing a Beyonce song and change a lyric you can do the same with his.
