1. The president of the Academy is an African-American woman. AFRICAN *bing* WOMAN *bing bing*

3. The stand out leaders of the stance for change. Spike Lee. It's always been him vs the industry and the industry vs him for 20 plus years. Jada Smith. Her track record as an actress (as a damn good one) has never been up there with those (of all races) that have given an Oscar worthy performance. SO you have a great bitter director and writer with an great lovely black actress who has been offered the roles she fighting for leading a charge.
4. Stop shotgunning straight to racial issues when it seems blacks are not given a fair chance in the situation. Not everything needs to be racial. Half the time it become racial, people be afraid to take the race part out of it because now their point may not be as strong as it was before.
5. Get the F*** rid of that corny "We only win if we play a slave, hoe or crooked cop" line. Please. One them kinds of movies drop every year. If you got to play a hoe to win a Oscar, Meagan Goode would have a million by now.
6. NAACP awards and the AAFCA awards are... no not really... Black associated. OF COURSE they "Got it right" when awarding black people. So woke y'all sound dumb.
7. There is this thing called Oscar season where all the movies aim for Oscars, That drop in the fall after the summer blockbusters are done making big money.

Love is a Reality Show

It doesn't matter if you're on the side where it's elegant like the bachelor or ratchet like the flavor of love... love is a reality show. You start it off with many choices and narrow it all down to one hopeful. That's the goal and the plan of these shows but what we fail to realize it's it takes the open stretched out dating scene that can spread to different cities and states and makes it easier by placing them all under one roof. Now the competition is right next to you. The competition isn't a tweet under you or friend request accepted before you. 10 seconds of watched snap videos before you entered the room or a double tap 82 weeks after a lunch date. No, your competition is one date prior to you being eliminated out that nice rented out house. So why not focus on getting that last rose instead of focusing on who might catch the bill on the little dinner he/she went on that you weren't told about?

The Woman Before You

"If I wanted to be with her, I would be with her." Great man once said that and it's very close to every bit of the truth you'll hear. I'm with you though. Not her.. she way over there. Ok, she might be right here by my side but that's about it. She ain't my side she help me judge them hoes but I can also tell you she not your enemy. Yes, ladies there will always be a chick that has been there before you in your mans life but what that have to do with what he's trying to build with you? Let's say he hasn't even began to build with you, that still puts you as the one he chose. Hell, if he hasn't chose you just quite yet guess what you're the one he is very much so interested in. If not common sense says they'd be married with kids in that white picket fence while you wouldn't even be a memory to miss. The opportunity was there when they met before you became known to existence so if they never took it or felt the need for it be thankful that place is now yours for the taking. So..... take it. Love it. Enjoy it but don't let your insecurities get you all defensive to attack his mental and emotion over someone not get the same kind of day that is yours in his life. Don't get emotional and tell yourself that she is when in fact it isn't. When in fact there bond is on a different scale compared to the bond he has hopes of gaining with you. So you say "Well, I need to meet her. I need to feel her out. These women are out here sneaky and I know sneaky when I see it." Ahhhhhhh... uhhhhh... hmmmm..... NO! "O.. well something must be going on if I can't be around her when I want to be." Uhhh... ok? You see it's not for you to be around her and damn sure is not no NEED to meet her. The NEED to, the self stimulating thought of the optimistic outlook that you do KNOW what you don't, the result of feeling the negative when all those thoughts are blocked because it's in the end not a priority of yours to tell him who he needs to be around as the new comer to his life compared to the life that has actually been there is just wrong. YOU AREN'T EVEN YOU IN HIS LIFE TO DISMISS WHO THEY BEEN TO HIM. Refer back to the opening sentence.

6 hours: A Dating Experience

Put your hands up and look at your fingers. Six? Yes, six is not the loneliest number but the perfect one to get the job done when courting someone to a nice evening. Now yes six hours doesn't seem long on paper but sit back relax kick off your shoes and let your funky ass corns breathe while you think about it.
